Shaker kitchens always look impressive and never go out of style, which makes them a personal favourite. Opt for cabinetry with subtle detailing throughout to add depth and character.

White worktops are hugely popular, most likely because they go with any kitchen style or colour scheme. They're also a great and simple way to brighten up the space, which is especially desirable if you're renovating a smaller kitchen.

Quartz worktops are a must. They're durable and can withstand all the kitchen's challenges, life throws at it. In this project, we used Calacatta Gold Quartz worktops; they're white but have intricate detailing that adds further interest to this shaker kitchen.

Appliances and Features
What makes a great kitchen is all about the appliances. After all, it's one of the most used rooms in the house. This project features a stunning Blanco subline sink with a hot water tap, an appliance that is becoming more of a necessity in the kitchen world.

This kitchen also features a spacious pantry cupboard with bespoke wooden drawer inserts and convenient integrated bin storage.

Finishing Touches
What really makes this shaker kitchen modern are the gold hammered-effect handles from Alexander and Wilkes. They give a finishing touch that silver handles just can't rival.

The client has brought this kitchen to life with an injection of their personal tastes and personality, with feature wallpaper, gold lighting that matches the kitchen handles and contrasting pink bar stools. They have also turned the glass-fronted cabinet into a work of art with a selection of spirits, crockery, and glasses.
