Kitchen trends for 2021
Whilst we’ve been having a break from the tools over Christmas, we've been looking into the kitchen design trends for 2021 and what we can expect to see.
So we thought we’d kick off the year by sharing them with you.

The Compact Kitchen
This year we're asking our kitchens to work harder for us than ever before, no matter what size they are.
And, if you’re working with what you’d consider a ‘small’ kitchen, you don’t necessarily need to compromise. It’s still possible to create something stylish, whilst ensuring it’s efficient and practical. Here are some ideas:
Minimalism – Firstly, the less countertop clutter, the better, but It's also essential to embrace simplicity with clean lines and integrated appliances.

- Smart storage solutions – these are an integral part of a compact kitchen. The main trick here is to use all available space. Think floor to ceiling units and pull out larder units, and hanging space for utensils to keep worktops clear.
- Clever colours – think 'neutral and bright to maximise light.' You can still be adventurous though, and mix colours, textures and materials.

The Nature-Inspired Kitchen
Something about our lack of freedom in 2020 has got the nation eager to bring the outdoors – in.
The important point to remember here – BALANCE. We're not talking about a full wooden kitchen here guys. It’s about small elements and subtle touches such as open shelving, an oak carcass with a grey door, or perhaps just a wooden breakfast bar that sets the tone for the rest of the space.
The Scandinavian trends encourage this a lot, and you'll notice that many kitchen ranges are now taking inspiration from them.
Green complements this trend well, whether that’s with a splashback like the one pictured, or a selection of plants, herbs or foliage.

The Benefits of a Quartz Worktop
It won't surprise you that Quartz is still ticking all of the boxes when it comes to worktops – especially in 2021.
It does exactly what it promises. It's durable, stain resistant, versatile and great quality, and we love working with it.
Available in hundreds of colours, it’s perfectly adaptable to any style of kitchen and why we predict it’s going to be a firm favourite this year.
