The Rise Of The Concrete Kitchen
We know what you’re thinking, a concrete kitchen?!
As tradesmen, we’re all used to concrete on a practical basis, but with the rise of the industrial trend, concrete is quickly becoming a visible kitchen must-have.
Whether it’s used as a work surface, cabinet doors, handles or flooring, the results are a stylish finish that is (here’s that word again) timeless.
Modern, practical and built to last, concrete can be shaped into literally anything, making it a versatile option. So, if your customers are asking about it, the chances are we will know a great way to incorporate it into their kitchen design.

Second Nature has introduced three new concrete finishes to their Unity made-to-measure handleless kitchen range:
The light, textured Brunswick
The cool Hayward
The strong, grounded Trellick
The Trellick kitchen in particular is concrete crazy with the Unity pebble door, a Balfron concrete Strata quartz worksurface and the concrete-effect block handle to finish.
As you can see, a concrete kitchen design is far from cold and uninviting.
It’s a style that’s at home in a modern setting, and when paired with warm neutral tones can be the perfect place to both relax and entertain.
For those wanting a bolder finish, darker shades work well with the natural grey, why not try a Carbon or Hartforth Blue.
Thanks to its natural characteristic, house plants and other natural elements such as metal and glass complement this kitchen design really well.
And if you’d like to see a REAL concrete kitchen design – watch out for our next blog where we’ll be showcasing one of our latest projects. It works the concrete trend to perfection!
