How to go bold in your kitchen

With the Valentine’s Day theme in mind, here are our top tips for how to turn a kitchen into the heart of the home by giving it a little love and attention (all puns intended).

GO BOLD
 
Just like any romantic gesture, the bigger, the better right? A bold statement in the kitchen, like a showstopping splashback or worktop, will completely transport a kitchen from ordinary to extraordinary.

There are some superb worktop options available in all sorts of finishes, materials and colours. You can even experiment further with a combination of worksurfaces, like combining white quartz and solid wood.

Adding a flare of luxury with gold or other metal accessories like handles, show items, stools will complete your look and bring it bang on-trend. They're great items to work with, too, because they're so easily replaceable when trends change.

BE THOUGHTFUL

Remember, it's what's on the inside that counts. A great kitchen needs well-thought-out storage solutions.

Also – it's worth including an integrated bin - it sounds dull, but it's the one thing that customers say they were pleased they chose to include. And, as we move in 2022 and beyond, the addition of good recycling options within the kitchen is a great selling point.

There's something to be said about a trusty timeless kitchen. All white, all greys, they're going to stay around for years to come. They're easily updatable, and they're safe – a bit like an old married couple!

But if you want sparks and wow-factor, consider something a bit more out there. Greens and blues are colours that are sure to be in style for years to come, but they're also guaranteed to start conversations when guests walk into your home.

Pastels are also significant at the moment, particularly stoney tones and blush pinks.
